Sign up with your phone number
Enter your phone number. We send you a 6-digit code. Verify it. That's it — no passwords, no email required, no lengthy forms. One phone number, one account.
Add your photos
Upload 1 to 6 profile photos. These are what people see when they view your profile. Your primary photo will be used to verify your identity through facial comparison — so make sure it clearly shows your face.
Verify through DigiLocker
This is what makes AirlockChat different. You connect to DigiLocker — India's government-backed digital document wallet. We verify your identity and compare your face against your government ID photo. Your verified first name becomes your permanent display name. You can't change it. No one can fake it. This step takes about 2 minutes.
Get your Airlock code
Once you're verified, you receive your unique Airlock code — a 6-character identifier like RXK‑M47. It's permanent, tied to your verified identity, and yours forever. You also get a shareable profile link and a QR code.
Start chatting
Find someone by their Airlock code, or receive a chat request from someone who has yours. Both of you must accept before messaging begins. Once you're both in — you're chatting. Real-time messaging with photos, voice messages, and video messages. Typing indicators and read receipts. All between two verified, consenting people.
